I have come to the conclusion I either need to Blog more often or we need to stop growing.

Lets take this time to introduce some fantastic new organic beauty brands that have recently partnered with ZOLD.

From Germany comes Amala. Responsible skincare that can be found in some of the world best spas.

Also from Germany come Primavera. This line of certified natural skincare and aromatherapy is perfectly balanced from nature. You will be thrilled with their program and their products.

Another line we have been fortunate enough to bring to Canada is OM4- a complete Organic skincare program for men. Simple concept; 4 products, 4 steps, 4 minutes and exclusively 4 men! This particular brand will be a star in the industry and in short order. Look for our ad in the Salon & Spa Buyer's Guide for 2010/2011.

As I stated at the outset, I really need to update this more often. Also, after a few production delays, Organic Indulgence is now available from your local eco-beauty rep or through our toll-free order line.

Finally, let me welcome Sujata, Catherine and Erica to the team. All three ladies have recently come to ZOLD and we look forward to their positive and enthusiastic attitudes taking us to even greater heights!

Unfortunately when you get busy, you sometimes forget to add to your own blog, and this I am most definitely guilty of. This posting will cover some of the latest developments ZOLD has been working on.

First; as many of you have noticed we have changed up the look and navigation in our Eco-Beauty Category. We have done this as we have tried to compliment our offering to include options in each vertical. Instead of offering one skincare line, we have sourced and partnered with multiple brands giving our customers options based on demographic and customer base. We are thrilled to be partnering with Living Nature and their line of 100% natural skincare from New Zealand.

Secondly, we are also very happy to announce the hiring of Daja Graham as our Eco-Fashion Sales Manager. Based in the Greater Toronto area, Daja brings a wealth of experience to the position and we are confident that she will guide the product category to great things in the coming weeks and months.

Finally, I wanted to commend our USA team for making our initial soft launch into America a great success. The response we have received from salons, spas and retailers has been very encouraging and we look forward to building our program and team to service resellers from coast to coast.

I think that is it for now. We have some other terrific announcements coming but I think I will leave those for next week.

Thanks again for all your support.

“Imagine a world where we have taught environmental sustainability as a fundamental concept to our children – just as we teach shapes, colors, letters and the importance of saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you.’” - Debbie Smith, creator of the Idbids characters

ZOLD is proud to introduce Idbids to Canada, one of North America’s award-winning environmentally-friendly toy brands. Idbids creates toys that educate children on environmental sustainability and responsibility. With the motto, "iddy biddy steps make a biggie big difference" in keeping our Earth happy, healthy and green, Idbids products are made from organic, earth-friendly materials especially designed for children three and older.

One of ZOLD’s best selling products, the Idbids Eco-Friendly Starter Kit is the perfect gift for this back to school season. The Starter Kit contains one 9” plush toy, lovingly handcrafted using 100% organic Egyptian cotton. Coloured with natural organic dyes, no two are alike - just like children! Also included in the kit is an organic cotton backpack for the child to wear, the “iddy biddy steps for a greener world” storybook, the Idbids Field Guide – both printed on recycled paper with eco-friendly inks — and an online rewards program. The kit packaging is made from recycled and eco-friendly materials and includes paper doll cutouts and a playland insert. With the purchase of each kit, children can enter a code online that will help protect the habitat of animal friends through The Nature Conservancy's Plant A Billion Trees campaign, Adopt an Acre® or Rescue the Reef® programs.

Idbids was a recipient of a MAX award earlier this year. According to the GSU Marketing Roundtable, the organizers of the 17th Annual Marketing Awards for Excellence, “Idbids demonstrates how a very small company can create a whole new category and compete with industry giants through innovation. The eco-friendly toys the company developed were created to foster a love for the environment and to help kids understand the steps they can take to protect the environment and make a difference. They did this without sacrificing fun.”

Parents echo the same enthusiasm for Idbids toys: “It’s never too early to teach our little ones about ways to save the environment, and when I stumbled upon Idbids, I knew their products would be a great tool to help Little Music Man learn about the environment while having fun at the same time”, says Sage Mom, owner of the Sage and Savy blog and self-described ’light green’ wife and mother of two beautiful boys.  “The entire kit is eco-friendly, fun and educational. Even the box features cut-outs of the Idbids, and you can re-use the box as their playland!”

The Treece family, with two children under five, have recently discovered the benefits of buying from an eco-friendly toy company. “[Idbids products are] wonderful because they help teach concepts of conservation and pollution and give examples of reachable goals that children can do to help the environment. I think Idbids would make a great birthday or Christmas gift for the child who really doesn't need just another toy.”

Available through ZOLD, Idbids’ exclusive sales agency in Canada, the Eco-Friendly Starter Kit is available in the following versions: Scout, the cloud, Lola, the flower, or Waverly, the water drop Idbid.
